2025 GARDEN TRENDS
We are blessed to be trend setters
Here are just a few trends for 2025.
Everything is changing but sometimes changes are for the best. Trends are fickle but we surely hope these 2025 trends are here to stay!
1. NATIVES ARE THE WAY TO GO SO ‘NATIVARS’ ARE BORN
As people become more and more aware of the importance of native fauna and flora, the request for native plants is drastically increasing. Because of this, growers are creating a wide variety of cultivars of native plants better suited for residential gardens….meet the “Nativars”! Nativars are created by crossing native seedlings to produce cultivars more compacted in size or with brighter colors. Many of them will also attract a ton of pollinators!
2. NO MORE MINIMALISM…LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTED!

It’s all about pollinators. We all know the pollinator population is at risk and it’s important to create a safe environment where they can feed and reproduce. This means adopting a more relaxed and organic approach to gardening. Maybe don’t rush to cut that dead flower or rake those leaves. Let’s re-define beauty!
3. LOW-WATER LANDSCAPE

Even living in a place where drought is not an issue, people are more conscious about water waste and, as a consequence, the request for drought resistant plants has increased. Good thing that pollinators plants don’t need much of it. Sustainability is the key!
4. LIVING SPACES FOR PEOPLE AND WILDLIFE
People are re-thinking their outdoor spaces. They want to spend time in their gardens so patios are becoming more and more popular. They are also converting their lawns into gardens for the wildlife. It’s a win-win! Spending time outside surrounded by plants will improve your mood; it’s science…look it up!
5. GARDEN IN CONTAINERS AND PLANTERS
Whether you own or rent a house or an apartment, container gardening is a great solution for bringing a bit of nature into your space. Containers are easy to relocate, maintain, and they are affordable. Just because you don’t have a yard (or a big one) doesn’t mean you can’t have a garden!
